Park Avenue Memorial Celebrates Unity Day

Park Avenue Memorial Elementary School was filled with orange as students and staff came together to recognize Unity Day, a day dedicated to promoting kindness, acceptance and inclusion.

Throughout the day, students reflected on what it means to support one another and help create a school community where everyone feels welcomed and valued. To bring that message to life, students created an orange “Unity Chain,” with each link featuring a positive message written for a classmate.

As the individual links came together to form one chain, the activity served as a meaningful reminder that every student plays a role in building a positive school culture. Through simple acts of kindness, encouragement and respect, Park Avenue students demonstrated how each person can help make their school stronger and more connected.
