Fun-filled Field Day and Parade at Northwest Elementary School

Students at Northwest Elementary School in Amityville recently enjoyed an exciting and memorable Field Day and schoolwide Parade, filled with fun, teamwork, and school spirit from start to finish.
Throughout the day, students rotated through a variety of engaging activity stations that kept energy levels high and smiles on faces. From maneuvering scooters around cones to testing their speed and agility in hurdle races, students enthusiastically participated in each challenge while encouraging and supporting their classmates along the way. The event provided opportunities for students to demonstrate teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship in a positive and active environment. One of the highlights of the day was a refreshing ice cream treat, giving students a chance to cool down, relax, and celebrate their hard work and participation.
This year’s Field Day also featured an exciting new addition: an inflatable obstacle course. The attraction quickly became a student favorite, as children eagerly lined up for the opportunity to climb, crawl, and race through the course. The new activity added an extra layer of excitement to an already action-packed day. Northwest was also pleased to welcome many parents and family members who attended the event. Their support and presence helped make the day even more meaningful for students and contributed to the strong sense of community that defines the school.
The school extends its gratitude to the staff members, volunteers, and families whose efforts helped make Field Day and Parade a success. Through their dedication and support, students were able to enjoy a joyful and memorable experience that celebrated fitness, friendship, and school pride. Northwest is already looking forward to next year’s Field Day and another opportunity to create lasting memories for its students.
