Northeast’s pre-K students celebrate Annual Mother’s Day Tea

Pre-kindergartners at Northeast Elementary School in Amityville celebrated the special women in their lives during the school’s annual Mother’s Day Tea on May 8.
The school gymnasium was transformed for the celebration with colorful student artwork and class-created banners displayed throughout the space. Northeast Principal Dr. Pauline Collins welcomed families and recognized the love, care, and support that mothers and caregivers provide each day. Dressed in their best attire, pre-K students performed a collection of Mother’s Day songs for their guests before joining them at decorated tables to enjoy tea, juice, cookies, and special crafts created by the students.
The annual event provided students and families with a memorable opportunity to celebrate together and create lasting memories.
