Edmund W. Miles celebrates Black History Month with Staff Potluck

On Feb.5, Edmund W. Middle School in Amityville marked Black History Month with a festive Staff Potluck that brought educators together in celebration of culture, community, and tradition.
Throughout the day, staff members gathered in the middle school’s break room to connect and share a variety of traditional dishes thoughtfully prepared by colleagues. The room was decorated in Black History Month colors and décor, creating a welcoming and celebratory atmosphere. The aromas of the diverse cuisine filled the break room and drifted into the hallways, reflecting the warmth and unity of the school community. The event highlighted the importance of honoring Black history while strengthening bonds among staff members.
The Staff Potluck served as a meaningful reminder of the rich traditions and shared values at the heart of the Amityville school community.
