Amityville

From Dec. 18-19, the halls of Northwest Elementary School in Amityville were filled with music, joy, and holiday spirit during the school’s annual Winter Concert and Art Showcase. 

Directed by music teacher Ms. Nicole Altamura, students in grades K-2 took the stage in the school gymnasium to perform a lively medley of holiday songs. From timeless classics like “Jingle Bells” and “Feliz Navidad” to spirited tunes like “Hip Hop Reindeer” and “Hanukkah is Here,” the performances brought smiles to the faces of teachers, parents, and fellow students alike. 

Following the musical celebration, families explored the gymnasium, taking in an inspiring display of student artwork. The event beautifully combined the sounds and sights of the season, highlighting the talents and creativity of Northwest’s artists and performers.
