Friendship Flowers in full bloom at Northwest Elementary School

Students in Ms. Robinson’s art class at Northwest Elementary School in Amityville crafted Friendship Flowers to celebrate Anti-Bullying Week.
The creative lesson began with the story “Stick and Stone,” a heartwarming tale about friendship, kindness, and standing up for one another. After discussing the story’s message, each student decorated a colorful petal with their name, a friendly message, and an uplifting picture that represented kindness or helping others. When all the petals were joined together, they formed a beautiful class flower, symbolizing unity, respect, and friendship.
These vibrant flowers will be proudly displayed in the main hallway, serving as a daily reminder that kindness helps our school bloom.
