In celebration of the Lunar New Year, students learned that this is the Year of the Dragon, which represents nobility, good fortune and vitality. Students crafted lanterns, dragons and noisemakers for the parade around the school. To celebrate the Lunar New Year, students and staff were encouraged to wear red which symbolizes good luck, energy and happiness. Additionally, students and teachers wore purple hearts in recognition of P.S. I Love You Day.

It was a festive and great learning experience for all of Northwest’s students.
