2024 VOTER INFORMATION (INFORMACIÓN PARA EL VOTANTE)
VOTER REQUIREMENTS
In order to vote, you must be:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- 18 years of age or older
- Been a resident of the school district for at least 30 days prior to the vote
- Been registered to vote in the general elections or have been registered to vote in the school district
If you are unsure if you are registered, you may call the Board of Elections in your County. Both counties have a link on their website where you can check if you are registered and/or to fill out Voter Registration Forms.

You may use this application if you are a qualified voter who resides in the school district that provides for personal registration of voters. You may only apply for an absentee ballot on your own behalf. If you have any questions, please contact Melissa Durnin, District Clerk at (631) 565-6002.

Who May Apply for an Early Mail Ballot
Any registered voter may apply for an early mail ballot. Each person must apply for themselves. It is a felony to make a false statement in an application for an early mail ballot, to attempt to cast an illegal ballot, or to help anyone to cast an illegal ballot.

CANDIDATE PETITION / SOLICITUD DE CANDIDATOS
There are two (2) open seats of the Board of Education as follows:
- One (1) member of the Board of Education for a three (3) year term to succeed Wendy Canestro, whose term expires on June 30, 2025;
- One (1) member of the Board of Education for a three (3) year and forty-one (41) day term to succeed Christopher Nehring, whose term expires on May 20, 2025.
If you are interested in running for the Board, please contact Lynn Larson, District Clerk at (631) 565-6002 to schedule a time to pick up the petition packet.
Petitions for the open seats are available at the District Clerk's Office from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Petitions are due by 5:00 PM on Monday, April 21st.
Hay dos (2) posiciones abiertas en la Junta de Educación de acuerdo a lo siguiente:
- Un (1) miembro para la Junta de Educación por un período de tres (3) años para sustituir a Wendy Canestro, cuyo mandato vence el 30 de junio de 2025;
- Un (1) miembro para la Junta de Educación por un período de tres (3) años y cuarenta y un dias (41) para sustituir a Christopher Nehring, cuyo mandato vence el 20 de mayo de 2025.
