Acadia Charter School is a tuition-free public charter elementary school in Bar Harbor, Maine, serving grades K-6. We offer a robust academic curriculum within a history-focused framework, designed to cultivate intellect and provide a strong foundation in essential skills. Our curriculum not only meets but exceeds state standards, featuring explicit, sequential, and teacher-directed instruction with a multi-sensory approach. As a publicly funded school, we adhere to state mandates and guidelines for assessment and implementation of the Maine Common Core Standards.
