Work-Study Visit to Local Supermarket

On Wednesday, December 10th, our VIP students took a work tour of Stop N Shop in Amityville.  We toured the store's different departments, including Starbucks, bakery, meat, grocery, produce, as well as the offices and floral department.  Our students were able to go into the back of the store to see the loading area and stock rooms.  The manager who was also our tour guide, explained each job's responsibility as well as the qualifications.  After the tour, each student was responsible for his/her own shopping list. These purchased items will be used in the VIP Café.
