Amityville Memorial High School Musicians Achieve Perfection

Two talented Amityville Memorial High School student musicians received perfect scores on their All-State solos at the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Solo and Ensemble Assessment. Tenth-grade student Meghan Brooks received a score of 100 on her All-State Level 6 Flute solo and senior Cherrelle Crews received a score of 100 on her All-State Level 6 Snare Drum solo. These ratings qualify both students for consideration and nomination to various All-State ensembles. The district wishes to congratulate Meghan, Cherrelle and their band teacher, Mr. Brian Wishin, on this prestigious achievement.
 
In addition to performing on the flute, Meghan also earned a perfect score of 100 on a Level 6 piano solo. This qualifies her to apply to perform in the annual piano consortium that is held each year at the state NYSSMA conference in Rochester.
