Amityville Memorial High School Junior Wins State Championship in Hurdling

Amityville Memorial High School Junior Sancho Barrett competed at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) meet in the 55-meter hurdles, during which he came in first place in New York State. Sancho also placed second in the Federation category, losing in a photo finish. Newsday has selected Sancho as the recipient of the All-Long Island award.
