Amityville HS Teams are Good Sports

Three Amityville Memorial High School (AMHS) Fall Athletic squads have been recognized for good sportsmanship by opposing coaches. The AMHS Varsity Girls Soccer team, the Junior Varsity Girls Soccer team and the Junior Varsity Girls Tennis team all won Sportsmanship awards for demonstrating good character and courtesy to their opponents on the field– both in victory and defeat. Additionally, the Varsity Girls Soccer team was named a New York State Scholar-Athlete team for achieving a cumulative academic average of 90% or better for the entire athletic season.

Congratulations to the girls on all three squads and coaches Chris Roth (Varsity Girls Soccer), John Katsigiorgis (JV Girls Soccer) and Rich Pellegrino (JV Girls Tennis) for setting a strong example for Amityville’s young athletes and making the community proud.
