Track Team Champions

The Amityville Memorial High School Varsity Girls Winter Track team concluded an outstanding season that was the result of dedication and teamwork, earning two League V Championship titles. In the 800-meter relay, the team of Emilie Blotia, Ariel Gordon, Davida Walker and Corine Jackman completed a flawless run to capture the Championship. Similarly, Kanisha McCall, Lyana Morris, Daphne Marcelin and MaryEllen Dankenbrink showed their athletic prowess in the 1600-meter relay, coming in first place, and also taking home the Championship title.

The team also competed in the Small School County Championships, at which the relay team earned County Champion status in the 800-meter relay. The district congratulates the team and their coaches for their fine accomplishments.
