World Language and ESL Classes Celebrate Forgein Language Week

The World Languages and ESL departments joined in the National Celebration of Foreign Language Week during the week of March 3 - 7, 2008. This year's events included a poster contest, daily announcements in French and Spanish, and an international food festival. However, the highlight of the festivities occurred on Wednesday, March 5, when Spanish teacher Mrs. Sandra Kaplan spent the day instructing students in a series of Latin Dance Workshops. With the help of a sound system provided by Mr. Chris LaMarca and the High School stage crew, all French, Spanish and ESL classes reported to the stage to learn Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and Cha-cha dances. The students were enthusiatic, and a memorable time was had by all.
