Hatcher Cuts Through Mt. Sinai to Lead Warriors to the Finals

Da’Rell Hatcher rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns and Elijah Kelly added one score on the ground and another on a 30-yard pass from quarterback Sean Walters as the Amityville Memorial High School Varsity Football team dominated Mt. Sinai en route to a 40-7 in the Suffolk Class IV semifinal game held at Amityville’s Lou Howard Field. The Amityville Warriors advanced to the Class VI final vs. Glenn High School to be held this Thursday at LaValle Stadium on the campus of Stony Brook University, beginning at 7 p.m.

With the first-round playoff victory, the Warriors avenged their only loss of the season and improved their record to 9-1. Earlier this year, Amityville ended Glenn’s 17-game winning streak as part of their Homecoming celebration.
