School-Community Partnership Opens Doors for Amityville Students

As an outgrowth of the Amityville School/Business Partnership, and with the support of Chamber of Commerce President and Island Drafting Institute founder John DiLiberto, Amityville Memorial High School students have the opportunity to attend the Institute free of charge. “Mr. DiLiberto is a gracious and well-respected member of the Amityville community,” stated Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Williams. “Because of his generosity, our students are experiencing exposure and a level of instruction that is unique to high school students.” Students are enrolled in a Computer-Assisted Design (CAD) class called “College CAD,” for which they receive credit towards their high school diploma.
