District Hosts College Fair

More than 100 colleges and universities were invited to Amityville Memorial High School in October for an evening college fair, sponsored by the guidance departments at both the high school and Edmund W. Miles Middle School. Students and parents spoke with admissions consultants for two- and four-year institutions, both public and private, some church-affiliated and some specializing in the needs of ethnic minority students. Informational workshops, including financial aid seminars, were also conducted. The Amityville School District’s Director of Guidance Patricia Hausfeld coordinated the fair.
