AMHS Students Create Christmas Magic

AMHS students, under the direction of Mr. McGowan, shopped for gifts for children aged 4 months to 16 yrs old. Children recipients are from Help Suffolk, a shelter located in Bellport.

Day 1 - AMHS received wish lists from children and shopped at local stores. Mr. Seubert helped out on day 1.
Day 2 - Ms. DePaolo took the students to the store where they finished up the wish lists for the children.
Day 3 - Christmas Party in Sayville at an elementary school. Seven AMHS students attended:

5. Michelle Lagrassa
6. Lilian Lopez
7. Tisharri Tate

Our students dressed up in costumes (a snowman and a bear) and distributed grab bags to the children. They also assisted Santa in delivering presents to the kids from homeless shelters. Our students were given Christmas Magic t-shirts in return for their valuable assistance.
Charlie Russo, a lawyer from Hauppauge, is the founder of Christmas Magic. He has invited our students to a candlelight vigil on February 13, 2008, at Farmingdale State College. The theme is, "Have a heart for the homeless".
