Amityville Athletes Are In the Zone

Congratulations to Amityville High School seniors Erin Governanti and Brian Kretz as the district’s recipients of this year’s Suffolk Zone Award, presented by the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. The award is presented to one female and one male in the 2011 graduating class who demonstrate outstanding physical performance, scholastic ability and leadership qualities while meeting high standards in the Healthy Fitness Zone and Fitness Gram assessments. In addition to performing well in physical education class, Brian is also on the varsity football, basketball and baseball teams. Erin is a member of the varsity soccer and volleyball squads.
