Recognized for Academic Excellence

The Amityville Public School District is pleased to announce that six high school seniors are recipients of the 2009 Scholarship for Academic Excellence Award. Winners are selected on the basis of scholastic achievement in high school and computation of the weighted average of the scores on the Regents exams taken by the students prior to their senior year, in accordance with the approved selection criteria. Scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1,500 and $500. This year’s winners are Shamelia Loiseau, Timothy Jacobsen, Zenna Solomon, Kimberly Iwanski, Corine Jackman, and Tracy Governati.
