AMHS Art Students Visit MOMA

On March 19, 2008, Amityville Memorial High School’s National Art Honor Society and Art Club went on an amazing trip to the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in Manhattan. As we entered the museum they were met by the strange, the colorful and the enlightening pieces of artwork that presented a different world for the students to ponder. During our time at MOMA we were asked to view six different pieces of artwork, sketch each of the pieces of artwork, and then describe what each of the painting meant to them. Following the guided tour, we were all allowed to roam the museum and explore as much of the art as possible. We were all fascinated by the many different types of art displayed at MOMA. The only problem with this trip... was that it ended way too soon.
