Amityville Students Know Their Math at LI Fair

Students from Amityville Memorial High School (AMHS) and Edmund W. Miles Middle School (EWMMS) recently showed off their math skills through innovative projects they created for the Long Island Math Fair, recently held at Suffolk County Community College (SCCC) in Selden. Math teachers from both schools selected their best and brightest students to attend. With help from retired Amityville math teacher and current math consultant Jessie T. Johnson, the six students represented Amityville well. They are pictured here with Mr. Johnson and members of the math department just prior to boarding a bus to SCCC.
