Amityville Forensic Science Students Get to Work
Students at Amityville Memorial High School have performed several crime scene lab investigations for their Forensic Science class. The Forensic Science program at Amityville is offered through Syracuse University and students receive college credits from Syracuse University upon completion of the course. Students thoroughly enjoy the hands-on nature of the course. Our program is under the direction of Mr. Drew Henriksen.

Forensic Science is the application of science to the court system. Any area of science may be under the umbrella of “Forensics”. The many labs students engage in include, but are not limited to the following: fingerprinting, blood splatter, and crime scene investigations.

Forensic Science enables students to take a new and practical interest in science. In April, students will compete in the Forensics World Competition.
